How we handle your information
Last updated 12 October 2026
Who we are
Tender Ladder is a trading name of Siddharth Chakravarti, 21 Upbrook Mews, London W2 3HG. We are the data controller for the information described here. Contact us at [email protected], or write to the address above.
What we do
Tender Ladder tells UK trade firms about public sector contracts they could win. We contact a small number of limited companies about public contracts relevant to their work, and send briefs to firms that ask for them.
Who we contact
We only send marketing emails to limited companies and limited liability partnerships, and we check each one on the Companies House register first. We don't send marketing emails to sole traders or partnerships without their consent.
What we hold and where it comes from

We don't collect sensitive information, and we don't buy lists of people's personal details.
Why we use it, and our lawful basis
We use this information to send a small number of relevant business emails, to reply to you, to prepare and send briefs you ask for, and to improve our service. Our lawful basis is legitimate interests (UK GDPR Article 6(1)(f)). We have a genuine business interest in offering a relevant service to companies in your trade, the emails go to work addresses about your business's work, and you can stop them at any time. We have written down an assessment balancing our interests against your rights, and you can ask us for a copy.
Opting out
Reply "no thanks" to any email, or email [email protected], and we won't email you again. We keep a short record (your email address, company name and the date) so we don't contact you by mistake in future. You have an absolute right to object to direct marketing, and we act on it straight away.
Who we share it with
We don't sell or share your information. We use a small number of service providers who act on our instructions:
- Google Workspace, for email and storing our records
- Cloudflare, which hosts this website
- AI writing tools, which help us draft emails and briefs
Some of these providers may store data outside the UK. Where they do, the transfer is covered by UK adequacy regulations, including the UK–US data bridge, or by the UK International Data Transfer Addendum.
How long we keep it
| Situation | How long |
|---|---|
| We emailed you and you didn't reply | Deleted 6 months after our last email |
| You replied but didn't take a trial brief | Deleted 12 months after your last message, unless you ask sooner |
| You took a trial brief | For as long as you receive briefs, then 12 months |
| You became a paying customer | For as long as you're a customer; billing records for 6 years, as tax law requires |
| You asked us not to email you | The opt-out record is kept indefinitely so we can honour it |
